Cocomora is a Dutch perfume house that aims to make luxury scents accessible to everyone. The company sells perfumes inspired by well-known designer fragrances, but at a much friendlier price. Instead of the expensive branded packaging, Cocomora focuses on the scent itself. The experience, not the logo.
Challenge
When Cocomora was just beginning to grow, the company faced a familiar problem: many people visited the webshop out of curiosity, but only a small portion actually made a purchase. Visitors had doubts: not about the price, but about the quality. For how can you tell if a perfume “inspired by” a designer fragrance really smells good, without trying it first?
Additionally, there was a lot of competition on social media from other brands with similar concepts. Cocomora had a beautiful product but lacked a strong and recognizable brand story that evoked trust and emotion.
